PhD

Siri bridges the gap between AI development and clinical practice. As Head of Clinical Affairs, she ensures PERISCOPE meets the highest standards for clinical applicability and safe implementation.

She completed her PhD at Leiden University Medical Center in May 2025, researching how to leverage AI-based prediction in perioperative and critical care, from model development to clinical implementation. During her PhD, she spent time as a visiting researcher at Stanford University's Boussard Lab, focusing on fairness evaluation of clinical AI prediction models.

Her research has been published in The Lancet Regional Health, BJA Education, and Intensive Care Medicine. She holds a Master's degree (cum laude) in Technical Medicine from TU Delft, with clinical internships in intensive care, neurosurgery, and transplantation surgery.
