Geert is Professor of Hepatobiliary Surgery and Transplantation at Amsterdam UMC and chairs both the Department of Surgery and the Executive Board of Cancer Center Amsterdam.

He has over 25 years of experience as a surgeon, including 12 years at Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam. His expertise spans liver, pancreatic, and transplant surgery.
