Lead Data Scientist

Healthplus.ai is an Amsterdam-based HealthTech startup focused on enabling proactive surgical care by leveraging the power of AI on existing medical data. To help us with our AI and overall strategy, and model development, we are hiring a full-time Lead Data Scientist.

About us

Healthplus.ai is building machine-learning-based software that aids clinicians to provide more personalised and proactive patient care, based on insights from existing data, leading to improved patient outcomes, more efficient clinical workflows and a better experience.

We have recently launched the proof of concept of our PERISCOPE platform at the Leiden University Medical Center, where it uses EHR data to predict a patients post-surgery infection risk. With the infection risk score presented back to the clinician, action can be taken to reduce severity or fully prevent an infection, greatly improving patient outcomes and reducing their length of stay at the hospital.

After validating PERISCOPE in several large academic hospitals in the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway, the platform will be further developed into a production-ready product. In this process we closely collaborate with our partners SAS and PW Consulting as well as regulatory consultants CEplus to support us in certifying PERISCOPE as a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).

In addition to PERISCOPE, we are also supporting Dutch healthcare provider Kysos to develop machine-learning techniques for retinal image analysis to help in the detection of eye disease.
