Hiring: Full-time Allround Data Engineer
Your job

As a data engineer at Healthplus.ai you will be supporting our team of 6 data scientists by ensuring that the data they need to train and calibrate our models is complete, of high quality and available when needed. You will work in both the Google Cloud Platform as well as on Linux VMs provided by the healthcare providers. Because of the nature of our data, information security (ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of data) is a top priority and an integral part of your day-to-day work.

What you will do
  • Maintain and improve our internal data warehouse and build data flows into it

  • Manage and improve a watertight access control system

  • Develop and maintain the ETL components deployed on site at partner hospitals

  • Write tests to automate data integrity checks

  • Troubleshoot issues with data availability and integrity

  • Oversee and manage the collection of data for clinical validation (starting 2023)

  • Optimize use of Apache Spark for internal use

  • Documentation of the data architecture and pipelines

 
Educational profile

A successful candidate should at least have a BSc degree preferably in the field of computer science, computer engineering, information technology or related. However, we care more about passion, skills and demonstrable experience.

 
Knowledge and skills

Essential:

  • Excellent proficiency in Python and SQL

  • Working with Git, SSH, VPNs and Linux is second nature

  • Practical experience with Microsoft SQL server

  • Practical experience with the google cloud platform (managed databases, cloud storage, compute)

  • Practical experience with building Docker images and maintaining a Docker image registry

  • Experience as administrator with Apache Spark and PySpark

Bonus is experience with:

  • Practical experience with provisioning tools such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible.

  • Application development, in particular Python, would be really great

  • SAS Viya

  • UML

  • ISO 27001
